Dr Tina Papadopoulou is an experienced academic leader who held senior management positions in higher education in the UK. In her most recent roles, she was Deputy Head of School of Civil Engineering and Construction and Head of Department of Construction and Surveying at Kingston University.
Tina is an Associate Professor with extensive experience in the development of academic teams and portfolios. She led the accreditation of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in construction management and surveying by the CIOB and other prominent professional bodies in the built environment. More recently, she led the design and development of degree apprenticeship programmes in these fields. Her commitment to pedagogic excellence, innovation and quality assurance is evidenced through her senior fellowship of the Higher Education Academy status and external examiner positions at other UK Universities.
With a PhD in Engineering Management from Brunel University London, Tina’s research has been extended to areas including lean scheduling, project cost performance and construction ethics. She has supervised research in a range of topics, including areas of regulatory and policy influence, such as health and safety, innovation, leadership, diversity and inclusion in construction.
In addition to being a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB), Tina is also a Chartered Project Management Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM) and Institute of Leadership and Management (MInstLM). She actively supports the activities of these professional bodies in a variety of roles including, as an examiner (CIOB), assessor (RICS), committee member of local members group (RICS), committee member of special interest groups (APM), chair of CPD conferences (RICS).
